InfoSec 2014 – 29th April – 1st May (Earls Court)

There are a number of key industry events coming up. The largest is Infosecurity Europe 2014 (Infosec) from the 29th April to the 1st of May at Earls Court. It is an annual security trade show attended by IT and Security Professionals from the UK and Europe. It is an opportunity for IT Security vendors and service provider’s to showcase their latest products and services and for IT professionals to network and attend seminars on the latest threats and issues they are likely to face.

The event had humble beginnings in 1996 when it was held at London Olympia with 65 exhibitors and attended by 3000 Information Security professionals. The event out grew Olympia in 2009 and is now held at Earl’s Court, with over 300 exhibitors and attended by 15,000 IT professionals. Whilst a number of the vendors have disappeared (in most instances acquired by the larger companies), it was clear that the event in 2013 was smaller than its peak in 2010. This, coupled with the impending redevelopment of Earl’s Court, means that 2014 will be the last time Infosec will be hosted in Earl’s Court. In 2015 it will return to Olympia.

To mark the first day of Infosec, Bridewell Consulting and MIS Training Institute are hosting a drinks and networking evening designed for people to relax, eat, drink and network with other Security professionals. We look forward to seeing many of our friends, colleagues and clients at the reception.
