What to Expect from Infosecurity Europe 2022

With three years passing since the last Infosecurity Europe, there is a lot to look forward to at this month’s event. The cyber security landscape has evolved significantly since the event was last held in 2019, and exhibitors and attendees will undoubtedly be contributing countless new insights, learnings and predictions. With this in mind, Bridewell are excited to be attending Infosecurity Europe 2022 where we will be sharing our latest research, insights, business updates, and a few other surprises.

Look for us at Stand U80 to learn more about these at the event (we will be there June 21st – June 23rd). We’re located near the Microsoft stand, so stop by if you’d like to see how our ranged of managed services can complement your Microsoft technology stack.

What’s Changed in Critical National Infrastructure (CNI)?

To better understand the sector-specific challenges and threats faced by UK CNI organisatons in 2022, and how prepared they are to address them, we recently commissioned research among 521 UK cyber security decision-makers in the following industries.

  • Utilities
  • Finance
  • Transport and aviation
  • Government
  • Communications

These findings have been collated into our upcoming report Cyber Security in Critical National Infrastructure Organisations: 2022. Containing insights from our survey respondents and our SOC, it provides new insight into the cyber security challenges tied to individual sectors within critical national infrastructure. For example:

Among Our Top Findings:

Only 3 in 10 CNI organisations have a plan for decision making on whether to pay the ransom

More than 7 in 10 CNI organisations have seen cyber attacks increase since the start of the war in Ukraine

97% of CNI organisations have concerns about the proposed updates to the NIS Regulations

79% think their operations will be significantly disrupted by
ransomware in the next 12 months

What’s New with the Wider Cyber Community?

Since 2019, we’ve also begun working together with the wider cyber security community and have collaborated with the UK’s leading regulators, industry bodies, Microsoft, and the NCSC. Beyond sharing our latest research, Martin Riley, our Director of Managed Security Services, and Glenn Warwick, Principal Lead Consultant, will also be presenting at the Microsoft stand (Stand S40 on June 22nd at 10:00-10:30). In their presentation, they will discuss how Bridewell and Microsoft can work together to overcome the challenges faced by operators of CNI, including the integration of IT and OT security operations and support for their business transformation agendas.
