Running over 18 months, the course provides you with the education and experience to become a qualified cyber professional and join the Bridewell team.

By joining the Academy, you’ll gain valuable hands-on experience working alongside Bridewell consultants, and interactive one-to-one and group training sessions. You’ll also go through structured learning courses provided by Firebrand and SANS.

We offer a formalised, structured programme that combines industry leading experience and working within the one of the fastest growing cyber security companies in the world.

Academy Journey 

Over the course of the 18 months, you’ll receive training across different cyber security disciplines, undertake projects and support client facing work. The Bridewell Academy is delivered both in groups and via one-to-one sessions, providing an interactive environment which allows you to gain knowledge and experience. 

 

Academy Timeline

 

The Bridewell Academy begins with 3 – 6 months of training and inductions before you move on to 12 months of role-based delivery training where you will gain first-hand experience working as an analyst or consultant. Those 12 months offer you the opportunity to rotate between different areas of the business to gain valuable experience. Alongside working with Bridewell, you’ll be able to expand your knowledge with access to SANS training courses.

Individuals who graduate from the Academy are then able to move into entry roles at Bridewell in areas of Cyber Defence or Cyber Consulting. 

 

When you are not undertaking training, you will be immersed within one of the following areas: 

  • Cyber Risk Management 
  • Cyber Security Standards and Frameworks 
  • Security Operations 
  • Managed Detection and Response  
  • Vulnerability Management 
  • Cyber Threat Intelligence 
  • Digital Forensics and Incident Response


Mentors

Each Academy candidate will be assigned a line manager/ buddy within the team they have been assigned. The Line Manager will provide support and mentoring for you during your academy journey.  ​

Bridewell Academy FAQs

You will need to be eligible for security clearance. You will need to be a UK national or have been a resident in the UK for a minimum of five years. You must also provide detailed information about your personal and professional background, including any previous criminal convictions or financial issues.

We have one programme at Bridewell which is located under ‘Graduate Analyst/Consultant’.

To be eligible to apply, you will either need a Cyber Security degree or equivalent; or have participated in and completed a Cyber Security focused training course or bootcamp. You will also need a minimum of grade 4/C GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths, and three A-levels/Five Highers (or equivalent).

Yes! The Employee’s normal hours of work will be 40 hours each week. Bridewell operates a policy of flexibility around core hours of 10am – 4pm subject to the business requirements for the relevant department (this is inclusive of a daily 60 minute lunch break).

This is a graduate role - you're not expected to know everything on day one! No experience is needed; the company are looking for someone that will show potential for these roles through their transferable skills. Confidence, relationship building, and a self-starter mentality are all welcome- alongside a huge eagerness to learn!
